History of the Los Angeles Minority Business Opportunity Center

  • 1994 Initial establishment of the LA Minority Business Opportunity Committee
    • -$300,000 Grant Award (3-year Contract) with partial City funding and funding by the U.S. Department of Commerce - Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) - the only federal agency created specifically to foster the establishment and growth of minority-owned businesses in America.
  • 1997 $300,000 Grant Award Renewed for a 3-year
