Daisy Rossi

Daisy Mae Rossi joined L.A. MBOC in 2005 as the Budget Manager.
In her role, she coordinates accounting, financial and other administrative activities
with the Los Angeles City Departments for the LA MBOC-and plays a central role in preparing
the budget summaries and ongoing reports to the Minority Business Development Agency.
Ms. Rossi has a thorough understanding of the City's accounting and procedures. Prior to
joining LA MBOC, she held senior accounting roles at several City departments, including: General
Services, Parks and Recreation, Los Angeles Convention Center, and Port of Los Angeles.
Her broad accounting experience and successes include:
- Budget preparation, control and analysis of federal grant funds
- Single Audit preparation, Office of management and Budget (OMB) Circular
A-133 Audits of States, local governments and Non-Profit organizations
- Disbursement, procurement, allocation, and appropriation of federal grant awards
- Coordinating and preparing legislative documents (council motions) to receive federal grant awards
- Liaison to the Controllers Office, City Attorney, CAO, City Clerk and Treasurer's Office for financial transactions.

As a result of her deep functional expertise in accounting and her broad understanding of the integral relationships within City
departments Ms. Rossi has been instrumental in expediting accounting services for the L.A. MBOC to achieve its mission.
Ms. Rossi is widely familiar with several IT applications that range from standard office productivity to highly specialized
database and accounting software. She has knowledge and practical experience in the use of several applications which include,
among others:
Ms. Rossi holds a Bachelor in Science in Accounting and Finance from St. Paul College and a Master of Arts Degree in Business
Administration and Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
